HOW TO SPOT SKIN CANCER

Look for new or growing spots on the skin that do not appear to match any other preexisting spots

Conduct an ABCDE test:

A: asymmetry - the mole has an asymmetric shape

B: border - the edge around the blemish is not a smooth line (blurred, ragged)

C: color - the blemish is not one even color throughout

D: diameter - the diameter or size of the blemish is larger than 1/4 of an inch across

E: evolving - the blemish changes in size, shape, or color
